Homeschool A La Carte Classes at JECA
JECA’s mission has always aligned well with homeschoolers. After all, our mission statement reminds us that we are here to “assist Christian families in rearing their children.” Of course, we love when that assistance involves full-time enrollment. There’s something special about the combination of the classical method across all the disciplines that lends value to the full JECA experience. But many families prefer the custom-designed experience that homeschooling provides. For them, we would also like to open our doors.
That is why we offer an a la carte program for homeschooling families. Rhetoric Hall classes (9th-12th grades) will be available as a la carte options for home school students that meet the following criteria:
- Are enrolled in a homeschooling umbrella school. We regret that we cannot offer transcript services for homeschooling families, so all students who participate must be enrolled at an umbrella school. JECA will not be responsible for keeping grades. It will be the responsibility of the parent to report all grades to their umbrella school.
- Have gone through the standard JECA admissions process ($50 application fee). We serve students and families that share our unique vision for Christian education and we welcome homeschool families who also share that vision. JECA’s academic standards are high and we want to ensure that all students we admit to our classrooms have a likelihood of success.
- Are willing to submit to JECA’s code of conduct as published in The Standard.
Because of the high demand on related arts, we will only be offering those classes to students who are enrolled in two or more academic classes.
Enrollment in our homeschool a la carte program gains access to Winter Ball, Junior and High Protocol, as well as other athletic and extracurricular programs.
At JECA, we have a commitment to keeping our class sizes low and that’s especially the case in Rhetoric Hall, as subject matter becomes increasingly demanding. Regrettably, therefore, we will have to limit the enrollment of homeschool students in light of the number of seats in those classes.
Pricing for homeschool a la carte classes is as follows:
2-day-a-week class: $1,000 for the year
3-day-a-week class: $1,500 for the year
5-day-a-week class: $2,500 for the year
Tuition will be due in full on August 1st.

Enrollment in JECA’s Homeschool a la carte classes is a full school-year commitment. No portion of tuition paid will be refunded.
